Right Start™ Beginner’s Foundation Class

June 7 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

$130.00

Right Start™ Beginner’s Foundation Class

Dates & Times: June 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 5:00-6:00pm

All ages of dogs welcome!  This class consists of 4 sessions and is limited to 4 dogs.

Get the Right Start with this 4-week course where we will teach you how to use positive reinforcement to teach your dog.  Your dog will learn that paying attention, focus, coming when called, and more are both fun and rewarding! This class utilizes rewards including food and uses science-based, force-free training methods.

Prerequisite: The Right Start™ Seminar is strongly recommended. This seminar is offered virtually each month.

Note: This is a basic training class in which your dog must be comfortable with other dogs and people while on a leash in a classroom setting as this class is not designed for “reactive,” overly aroused or fearful dogs that might bark or lunge at other dogs or people.

Participants: This class has a limit of 2 people per dog. Children 10 and older are welcome to attend but must be supervised at all times. Many exercises are too advanced for children so parents should plan on assisting children or handling the dog for portions of the class.

What to Bring: Bring your dog to class with: a 6-foot leash (no flexi/retractable leads, prong, choke or correction collars), a mixed bag of soft, smelly treats, a favorite toy, and a mat/bed. A chew or stuffed Kong is also recommended.

Exercises Covered:

  • Jumping/4 on the Floor/Sit
  • Wait at the Door
  • Name Game
  • Touch/Targeting
  • Come/Recall
  • Calming Exercises
  • Starters, Focus, and Tips to get started with loose leash training basics

This class fee is not refundable and not transferable.
