Simba's Story
Simba’s story began with love. Adopted as a kitten, he spent 11 happy years in a home where he was deeply cherished. Everything changed when his human mom and best friend passed away, followed by the loss of his feline brother, Scooter. Through grief and change, Simba remained by his human dad’s side, offering comfort and companionship.
As time went on, aging and illness took their toll. Simba’s dad eventually moved into a nursing home and could no longer care for him. Simba was left with painful, untreated ear infections and injuries and suddenly had nowhere to go. Faced with heartbreaking circumstances beyond their control, his family brought Simba to Elmbrook Humane Society for help.
At EBHS, Simba received urgent medical care, pain relief, and plenty of TLC from compassionate staff and volunteers. Even after losing the only home he had ever known, Simba quickly won over everyone he met. Within weeks, he was healed, hopeful, and ready for a new beginning.
In February 2024, at 14 years old, Simba was adopted into a loving home. Today, he is embracing his golden years with joy, exploring new places and living life to the fullest. As his adopter shared, “Simba has truly impacted my world in the most uplifting, magical way. He truly is my little sidekick.”
Because of caring people like you, Simba got his second chance. Your support helps provide medical care, comfort, and love to animals who have nowhere else to turn. Please donate today to give more pets like Simba the second chances they deserve.
