Adoption Process
1. Complete An Application
The first step is to complete our adoption application. Applications can be filled out online and are reviewed same-day (as long as they are received during business hours).

3. Meet Animal(s)
During your Meet and Greet Appointment, you will work with one of our adoption counselors who will introduce you to an animal and tell you their medical and behavioral information. Meet and Greet slots are one hour long and you are allowed to meet up to three animals.
2. Schedule An Appointment
If your application was approved, you will receive an email with a link to schedule a Meet and Greet Appointment. Once your application is approved, you can also call the shelter at 262-782-9261 to set up a Meet and Greet Appointment.

4. Adopt
We do same-day adoptions. So after your Meet and Greet Appointment is concluded, we will go through the adoption paperwork with you. You are not required to adopt an animal after your Meet and Greet Appointment if you do not feel the animal is a good fit or you need more time to make a decision. We DO NOT put animals on hold.
Companionship, friendship, loyalty, and unconditional love – these are all things we think of when it comes to our pets. They are an important part of our families, but, some animals are not so fortunate. The lost, abused, injured, and left behind, need your help. Get Involved
Volunteers can be found in all aspects of our organization, from those who help with special events to those who work directly with the adoptable animals and assist staff in ensuring they all have clean beds to lay their heads on at night. Join our amazing team today!
