April’s Theme: ‘How to Stay Safe Around Dogs’
Kick off National Dog Bite Prevention Week with this fun and educational program for the whole family!
Through family games, activities and hands-on learning, we’ll:
- Learn all about how dogs communicate with ‘signs and signals’ that keep us humans safe
- Practice ways to stay safe when encountering a loose or lost dog
- Discover the best ways to interact with our family’s and friends’ dogs
- Enjoy special interaction with some of our Certified Therapy Dogs
- Participate in an educational shelter tour of our adoptable animal areas
Registration is required. A parent/guardian must be in attendance.
Families are encouraged to bring along a donation to help the animals! Items may include peanut butter, tuna, paper towels, hot dogs, cheese slices, Timothy Hay, or grain-free cat/dog treats.
