Pet Sitters Class (Ages 10-14)

Know a young person who LOVES animals and would like to learn more about how to care for them? Enroll your child in this unique opportunity to learn more about the exciting world of pet sitting!
Two Saturdays ~ October 5 and October 12. Sessions will run from 12:00 – 2:30pm.
Cost includes: 2 sessions, light snacks, materials, and certificate of completion.
For youth ages 10 – 14. This two-session class will cover a variety of topics on caring for dogs, cats, and small animals including:
- How to Provide Daily Care for Dogs, Cats, and Small Animals
- Walking, Exercising, Playtime and Enrichment
- Understanding Body Language, Signs, and Signals
- Poop Patrol and Litterbox Cleaning
- Food Toys and Interactive Toys
- Keeping Pets Safe and What to Do in an Emergency
- Dangerous Foods, Plants, and Situations
- Creating a Pet Care Log
Youth will also interact with some of our popular Certified Therapy Dogs and adoptable cats, make food toys and treats for our shelter animals, and more! Each participant will receive an EBHS Pet Sitters Certificate of Completion!
